Loosing grouped terms when hierarchy is higher than 2

In the term table, If you put grouped terms under a new group to create a hierarchy with 3 level, the group is lost (all terms are ungroupped) and only the label is added to the group so that you end-up with a group of 2 levels only. This should be a side effect to the fact that groups of more than 2 levels are no more taken into account. This is problematic because you lose your grouping work.
